Information collected on this website
This is a simple informational website. It does not use analytics, advertising trackers, embedded social media, or a contact form. If you email us, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your name, email address, organisation and message. The web host may also process technical request and security logs to operate and protect the website.
Why we use information and our lawful bases
- Responding to enquiries and managing business discussions: we use enquiry details to take steps at your request before a contract or, where appropriate, for our legitimate interests in responding to business communications.
- Operating and protecting this website: technical logs may be used for our legitimate interests in keeping the site available, diagnosing faults and protecting it from misuse.
- Providing software services: if you use ePOSi, we may process account, business and operational information needed to provide the service under the applicable customer agreement. The business customer may be responsible for providing privacy information to its own staff or customers whose information is entered into the service.
ePOSi and the new multichannel system
ePOSi is a separate, existing cloud-based ePOS product for hospitality. Information processed through ePOSi depends on the service configuration and the customer’s use. Customers should consult their service terms and contact us if they need details about the processing for their account.
The separate multichannel software system for online retailers is in development. Its planned capabilities include connections to Amazon, eBay, sellers’ websites, B&Q and OnBuy, a central orders dashboard, courier label and dispatch workflows, accounting software connections, and AI-assisted business tools. These integrations and features are not currently available through this website.
When an authorised marketplace integration is introduced, we will update this notice to describe the categories of data accessed, the purposes, recipients, retention arrangements and any relevant transfers. We will use marketplace information only to provide and support the functions the seller has enabled, subject to applicable terms and law.
Who may receive information
For website and enquiry operations, information may be handled by our website hosting, email and IT service providers acting on our behalf. We may also disclose information if required by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We do not sell personal information.
International transfers
Where a service provider processes information outside the United Kingdom, we will use an applicable transfer mechanism and safeguards required by data protection law. Contact us for information about relevant safeguards for your enquiry or service.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, including to respond to an enquiry, provide a service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and protect our systems. Website security logs are kept according to the hosting and server configuration and are removed when no longer needed for those purposes. Retention for software service data is handled under the applicable service terms and configuration.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to request access to, correction or erasure of your personal information, restriction of processing, data portability, or to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it. To exercise a right, contact info@prestigeitservices.com. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
